A good few years ago I wrote a song with my songwriting friend Larry Williams. I first met Larry when I was a teenager in school due to Jonathan Gulliford. Larry has written songs for Charlotte Church and some of you may remember the Castle Bingo theme tune on TV, yeah... that's by him :)
We both had a love for songwriting so a good few years later we got together and wrote our song that I released called "That Feeling". We also wrote another song that I had almost forgotten about called ... "Magic Box"!
The song idea was about an older lady opening up a music box (with a model dancer turning around to music) that reminded her of her younger life with her husband, when they fell in love and used to dance. We sorta implied that the older lady had now sadly been affected by memory loss/alzheimer's/dementia and that opening the 'magic' music box brought all these memories flooding back!
Well, Larry resurrected the song, recorded it recently (with him singing) and has produced a music video for it. I think he's done a great job.
